Jim has 28 years of experience starting as a loan officer with a S&L in Fort Myers, a branch Manager in Punta Gorda, next as a Vice President of a mortgage company until starting Mutual Mortgage in 1987. Karyn has 22 years of experience starting as a loan processor in 1986 and then helping start Mutual Mortgage in 1987. This combined experience and knowledge of the local market helps make doing business with Mutual Mortgage smooth and professional.
I’ve never been a fan or proponent of glitzy advertising or marketing promotions. What I am in favor of is providing an honest and fair service to my clients. Karyn and I have made mortgages in Charlotte County for a long time and we hope to be here into the foreseeable future. Most of our business is referral or repeat clients. We only made two sub-prime mortgages in the last five years and we didn’t make any loans that had the possibility of negative amortization. We take great pride in helping our clients in any way that we can. We try to walk our clients through the mortgage process every step of the way. We know that this purchase or refinance is very important to each and every client regardless of the purchase price or mortgage amount. We’ve been in our county a long time and this helps us, and you the client, as we are aware of the right surveyors, appraisers, attorneys, etc. We want your business now and your future business.
When you get your mortgage with Mutual Mortgage Company you will be dealing with the same people from the time of your application until your loan is closed. Your loan request is processed here, by us, every step of the way. We can give you suggestions and information on your insurances, we order your survey, your appraisal, title work, and we coordinate everything from beginning to end to ensure that your closing goes as smoothly as possible and on time.
Charlotte County, Florida is probably best known for the waterfront communities of Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, Englewood, and Boca Grande. There are many reasons to locate here, the weather is the first thing that comes to mind, the boating on the Peace River or the 26 square miles of Charlotte Harbor not to mention the Gulf of Mexico, fishing in one of the most flourishing estuaries in the country, the golf, the tennis, the people and the local events. On just about any day of the year you can cross the US Rte. 41 bridge from Port Charlotte to Punta Gorda and view peaceful and serene Charlotte Harbor. Miles of open water with just a hand full of boats. We have everything that you need and yet it is quiet without the traffic jams that plague so many Florida communities.
